Abstract
Problemstilling
Hvordan kan sykepleier bidra til økt motivasjon for fysisk aktivitet hos deprimerte pasienter
Teoretisk perspektiv
Teori om depresjon og om fysisk aktivitet diskuteres sammen med motivasjons- og sykepleieteori. Deci & Ryans selvbestemmelsesteori er teoretisk modell for motivasjon. Selvbestemmelsesteorien deler motivasjon inn i ulik kvalitet, og tar sikte på gi forklaring på hvordan man kan legge til rette for motivasjon av høy kvalitet. Travelbees teori om sykepleiens mellommenneskelige aspekter brukes for å gi en klar sykepleiefaglig relevans. Jus, etikk og sykepleierens funksjonsområder trekkes inn.
Metode
Oppgaven er en litterær oppgave basert på pensum-, fag- og forskningslitteratur. Forskningslitteratur er funnet i databasene Cinahl og Google scholar.
Drøfting
Problemstillingen drøftes ut i fra selvbestemmelsesteorien, en motivasjonsteori med lang historie psykologien Den tar for seg hvordan sykepleier kan bidra til motivasjon av høyere kvalitet gjennom å støtte de psykologiske behovene for autonomi, kompetanse og tilhørighet. Motivasjon Selvbestemt Travelbees sykepleieteori viser hvorfor dette er innenfor sykepleiers fagområde. Relevant forskningslitteratur brukes i begrunnelser.
Konklusjon
Selvbestemmelsesteorien er en teori for menneskelig motivasjon der støtte for behovene autonomi, kompetanse og tilhørighet er sentrale. Sykepleierollen kan benyttes til å ivareta disse behovene. Selvbestemmelsesteorien gir en forståelse og innsikt som kan gjøre sykepleieren bedre rustet til arbeid med motivasjon for fysisk aktivitet.
